About the Dandie
Dandy Dinmont Terrier is wonderfull breed.
We meet with them in two colour variety - pepper and mustard. Domicile of origin is England, the dale of river Coquet. First are mentioned in 17th century. At that time they were companions of strollers and gipsies. They hunted small wild rodents, rats but also otters under the water. The name came up first in the nouvelle of Sir Walter Scott named Guy mannering. It was published in 1815. From that time became Dandy very popular also in aristocratis ranks. He is lovely, amicable and very undrestanding companion, above all things he loves his family. Characteristic are his splended deep eyes. The look into them is disarming. Dandies are friends, who will gladly idle away with you, but on the contrary keenly set out for the hole day trip to the mountains. They have courageous and adventurous hearts. But as you leave them out of any adventures, they will show you they are able to be offended and sulky. But not for very long. Theirs affectionate and wonderfully obliging temper destinate them for canistherapy, where they are also exploited. To share home with Dandy is nice. Every day is cheerfull and rich in new experiences. The life with him represents to be constantly rewarded with his unselfish and landless love.
